I was going back from a dinner trip last night just thought about an idea that *might* be useful or many.

I thought that if ANet can somehow make a way for people to merge characters from one account to another. Personally I have one account (was two) but I gave it to a friend for his own use... I'm sure a lot of people in gurus have a totally separate account dedicated for pvp use, storage, buying~selling~market uses... or simply another to induldge themselves with more fun.
WHAT IF~ we can merge accounts together. I mean the stuff we unlock; the storage; the characters, etc. Think about it... Or *atleast* transfer characters between accounts. I mean I have friends that have dedicated pvp accounts while their old accounts have their beloved pve characters... that they don't ever want to delete... but sadly gathering dust.

I don't know how the runes; and skills unlocked will merge together; maybe by accumulation to both accounts. For instance if account A have all the mesmer skills unlocked while account B have all other professions (except mesmer unlocked) ---> merge account together ---> all skills unlocked. ~~~~Ta-DA~~~~

The transferring may be done by like passwords - account name, etc, etc.

**This is just an idea** I'm open to discussion as always, and appreciate feedback. So what do you guys think?

WTS Ranger with all skills unlocked and 180 elites 100K + 5000 Ectos!

You get my idea, bot heaven.
Merging is ok, but trading character not.
But seeing as we now have character slots we can buy no need for merging anymore, you would just buy the 24 ( i think it was 24?) max extra slots and have like... i dunno 10 to play with :| then therest of the 20 for storage,selling,weapons etcetc.

That's what the password ~ account combination is for; so people can't sell characters.

I was thinking to merge characters; you'll be asked to type in stuff in a window like this:

So side A is for the account with the character that needs to be transferred; including account name + password.
Side B is the destination account.

So it's pretty much impossible to scam... You gotta have the e-mail adress of both accounts AND the password to do this transfer.

What do you guys think?

this idea is as old as the first multiple account person who started playing GW.

there are at least 2 current threads just on this going now.

this is not a new idea and the Anet/NCsoft answer has always been a firm no as it just is not going to be/cant be done
